The polypropylene ski door is mounted in the armrest compartment of the 2nd row seat back. When one opens the decorative cover behind the middle armrest on which loop is sewn, the ski door and its two inter-mold® hook areas are revealed. When the system is closed, the inter-mold® hooks hold the decorative cover closed.

These dimensions make it have a specific soft feel and an innovative design. Due to its tiny dimensions the Micro Hook is intended to be used with low profile loops such as aplix® 200. But its minuscule size does not prevent it from reaching useful and interesting closure performances. Indeed tests according NF EN 13780 show that a Micro Hook - aplix® 200 closure (Micro Hook in PP 10% carbonate calcium filled) has a shear strength of 27 N/cm².

inter-mold® technology is an innovative method of integrally molding a field of hooks in an injection molded component.

The simultaneous use of inter-mold® technology and VICTREX® PEEK(TM) opens new possibilities, increasing performance and productivity. VICTREX® PEEK(TM) is designed to replace metals for many applications. Moreover, VICTREX® PEEK(TM) grade 151G requires no flame retardant additives to achieve a V-0 rating (at 3.0 mm thickness, according UL94 specification). In addition, inter-mold® technology eliminates the use of adhesives or additional ultra-sonic welding steps.

Les pièces présentent des crochets inter-mold® Dual Hook. Elles peuvent être fixées par rivet ou vis sur tout support pour attacher n'importe quel produit équipé d'une boucle ou autre textile compatible avec des crochets auto-agrippants.

Ces disques peuvent être par exemple utilisés pour fixer les coussins amovibles des intérieurs de camping-cars, caravanes et bateaux, ou pour d'autres applications telles que la construction, la fixation de câblages et de toute autre produit présentant une boucle ou encore pour le bricolage.

Les disques APLIX sont esthétiques et traités anti-UV. Ils sont disponibles en noir et en blanc, et ont un diamètre de 25 ou 45 mm. D'autres coloris peuvent être réalisés sur demande.

With inter-mold® technology hooks can be molded directly into plastic substrate components that are attached directly to the roof of the vehicle or applied directly to the headliner. The height of the hook fields can be designed to accommodate the various gap distances (Z-axis dimension) between the headliner and the sunroof module or roof bow.
The most recent application utilizing inter-mold® technology is the use of headliner attachment brackets in the brand new 2007 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX.
